Enquire nowWorking in confined spaces is not only stressful but also risky and dangerous. That is why it is so important to properly prepare employees for this type of work. Northampton is a large industrial and economic centre. There are many construction sites, installations and sewage systems in the area where there are confined spaces. Training for people working in such conditions has recently become increasingly popular. Not only because of the efficiency of such a person’s work, but also, and perhaps above all, because of their safety.
Firstly, we have training centres not only in Northampton but also in other nearby towns. This means that every resident can easily, quickly and conveniently reach us for a confined space training course. Secondly, CPTS LTD is a reputable brand with many years of experience in the industry. This is largely reflected in our highly qualified and experienced training staff. Another thing that sets us apart is that each of our trainers cares not only about the quality of the knowledge they impart, but also about practical skills and a very good, positive atmosphere during confined space training courses.

Because confined spaces can eliminate your margin for error. In open spaces, you have freedom of movement, fresh air and easy evacuation. In confined spaces, the opposite is true.
The most common hazards when working in confined spaces are:
And now a question worth asking:
Exactly.
That is why there are specific regulations in the UK that require training, procedures and competence. We are talking about, among other things:
This is not theory for theory’s sake. These are regulations that have one goal: to get you home safe and sound.
This training is for you if:

We will not overwhelm you with dry theory. Of course, we discuss regulations because you need to understand them, but we focus on real-life situations at work.
During the training, you will learn, among other things:
This is something that many people overlook, and then disaster strikes.
You will learn how to recognise:
The best operator is the one who can decide not to enter when conditions are unacceptable.
Yes, this is also a skill.
You practise entry/exit procedures using equipment such as:
There is nothing worse than a situation where someone enters and the rest ‘will figure it out somehow’. They won’t.
There is no room for chaos in confined spaces.
You learn:
And note, because this is important:
In confined spaces, most tragedies happen when someone tries to ‘rescue a colleague’ without safety measures.
In the UK, paperwork is also important, but not for the sake of paperwork. It is simply because documentation is part of risk control.
We discuss, among other things:

The choice of training level is extremely important, as different rules apply to simple entries and to work in hazardous atmospheres or with breathing apparatus. Below are the most popular options:
For low-risk work. You will learn the basics: the definition of a confined space, risk assessment, use of equipment (gas detectors, harnesses, communication) and entry and exit procedures.
The certificate is usually valid for 3 years.
For medium-risk environments. You will learn about atmosphere monitoring, ventilation, team roles (entrant, controller, standby), supervision and evacuation procedures.
The certificate is usually valid for 3 years.
For people who enter confined spaces and control access at the same time. You will learn about permit-to-work, equipment setup and emergency procedures.
For people supervising work from outside. You will focus on the duties of the top person, documentation, equipment control and team management.
For high-risk work involving difficult conditions and advanced procedures, including working with BA (breathing apparatus), evacuation and rescue.
For rescue teams and those responsible for recovering victims. You will learn how to plan operations, command, use equipment and transport victims safely.
An intensive practical course on rapid response and safe extraction in emergency situations.
