What’s Covered on the First Aid at Work Requalification Course?
This course is designed to be a comprehensive refresher of everything you’ve previously learned, ensuring you are still aligned with UK best practices and have the confidence and skill to act should someone injure themselves or fall ill.
In this course, you’ll learn about:

- Treating cuts, burns, and fractures

- Your responsibilities under health and safety law
You’ll take part in practical exercises throughout the first aid at work requalification course, meaning there’s not too much theory to sit through. And if you have any questions, our experienced trainers will be happy to give you the answers you need.
How is This Course Delivered?
This first aid at work requalification course is delivered over 2 dbllt;gays, usually at our training centre in Wellingborough. However, we regularly run courses in other locations around the UK, plus we can arrange to visit your workplace for group training sessions.
Both days start at 9 am and finish at 5 pm, with plenty of time for breaks and lunch. Qualified trainers with real experience deliver the course, ensuring you receive the highest-quality education.
At the end of the course, there’s no need to sit an exam. Instead, our trainers will assess you over the two days. Once completed, you’ll get your certificate, which will be valid for another three years. This certificate shows you’ve been trained to HSE standards and is accepted throughout the UK.
Who is This Course For?
This course is for anyone with an expiring first aid certificate – it is not intended for those who have not previously completed a first aid certificate. We will need to see your current certificate before we can accept you onto this course.
Anyone from the workplace can take this course, irrespective of position, provided they have a current certificate. The only requirement is that you’re over 16.

Can I take this course if my certificate has expired?
No. If your certificate has expired, you’ll need to retake the complete first aid at work course. If you took your original first aid at work course with us, we’ll automatically send you a reminder to attend a requalification course before your certificate runs out.
Where is this course held?
We hold this course at our training centre in Wellingborough and at several other locations across the country. We can also hold on-site training at your workplace. This course cannot be taken online.
Will my certificate be recognised in the UK?
Yes, our certificate is recognised throughout the UK because it complies with all HSE standards.
Is this course suitable for workers in all types of workplaces?
Yes, this course is for everyone, whether they work in a retail setting or on a high-risk construction site. The only provisos are that you already hold a certificate and that you’re 16 or over.
