  • Construction

  • Industrial

  • Utilities

Benefits of NPORS Training Courses

  • Flexibility: Training can be delivered on-site or at our state-of-the-art facilities, reducing downtime and increasing convenience.

  • Wide Range of Categories: From Excavators to Telescopic Handlers and offers an extensive list of courses.

  • Industry Recognition: This certification is widely accepted across multiple sectors, ensuring career mobility.

With a Build UK-approved status, it is now recognised as equivalent to CPCS, making it a versatile and reliable option for operators. NPORS cards can also feature a CSCS logo upon request, aligning with the “one logo” policy for easier validation by employers.

How Do NPORS Cards Work?

This certification offers three main card routes to suit varying needs and experience levels:

Traditional NPORS Route (No CSCS Logo)

Ideal for operators who don’t require CSCS validation, this route involves training followed by theory and practical assessments. Successful candidates receive the NPORS Traditional 5-Year Card.

NPORS CSCS Red Card

For operators needing a CSCS-endorsed card, this route involves similar training and assessments. The Red Card is valid for 2 years, during which candidates can work towards upgrading to a Blue Card.

NPORS CSCS Blue Card

To achieve the Blue Card, candidates must complete an NVQ on-site. This process involves building a portfolio of evidence (photos, videos, discussions) to demonstrate competence. The Blue Card is valid for 5 years.

Why Choose NPORS Over CPCS?

It provides greater flexibility in training delivery and assessment locations, often at a lower cost. Unlike CPCS, NPORS courses allows on-site training, reducing disruption to business operations. Additionally, NPORS cards can feature a CSCS logo, aligning them with the wider UK construction industry standards.

How to Renew Your NPORS Card

Renewing your NPORS card ensures your skills remain up-to-date and compliant with industry standards. Here’s how you can renew:

  1. Submit a Renewal Form: Signed by your employer to confirm your competence.

  2. Complete a Refresher Course: Recommended for operators seeking updated knowledge and independent accreditation.

How do I renew my NPORS card?

You may already be a CSCS NPORS operator and are likely aware that accreditation and good industry practice involves regular refresher training to ensure up-to-date knowledge and maintained standards. Many plant operators ask: ‘How can I renew my NPORS card?’

  There are 2 available options:

  • Submit a renewal notification form, signed by your employer to confirm your competence and accident-free use of the machinery during your employment
  • Complete refresher training for the chosen categories on your NPORS card. Recommended to ensure you are in-line with the latest industry standards, get the opportunity to benefit from a highly experienced and knowledgeable expert, and receive the peace of mind of independent accreditation.
