What is a telehandler training course?
A telehandler training course teaches the participants the knowledge and skills needed to productively, safely and competently, operate a telehandler, also known as a telescopic handler or a boom lift. The trainings are designed to comply with CPCS telehandler course standards.
A telehandler is a lifting machine that uses a telescopic boom that can be fitted with various lifting attachment ranging from pallet forks to buckets and winches. Pallet forks are the most common attachment.

We run Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) telehandler courses as well as NPORS telehandler course.
During the course you will learn the crucial skills required to get the CPCS telehandler red card — functionally equivalent to a telehandler licence — in three categories: A (Industrial Telescopic Handler), B (Up to 9 metres), C (above 9m but excluding 360-degree slew). We also offer a course that leads to the separate 360 telehandler CPCS ticket.
The telehandler training course includes the following elements:

Completion of the telehandler course:
The completed telehandler training course ends with a theoretical and practical test. Successful candidates obtain the CPCS Trained Operator card for categories of telehandler covered by the course. This is also known as the CPCS red card, and is the first step in accreditation, issued for a non-renewable two-year period.
