Karta NPORS/CSCS routes have separate requirements and are intended for operators working in construction where a card carrying the CSCS logo is required. CPTS will help confirm the appropriate registration route before the course is booked.
An Karta NPORS is evidence of training and successful assessment. It does not replace an employer’s responsibility to provide site-specific instruction, familiarisation and authorisation.
On-Site Pivot Steer Truck Training
NPORS N013 training can be delivered at the customer’s workplace where suitable facilities are available. This allows candidates to train with the truck, racking layout and operating conditions they are likely to encounter during their normal work.
For on-site delivery, the employer will normally need to provide:
- a serviceable pivot steer lift truck;
- the manufacturer’s handbook and relevant inspection records;
- a safe area separated from normal workplace activity;
- suitable palletised loads;
- appropriate racking or another agreed stacking facility;
- any PPE required by the site.
