The Construction Skills Certification Scheme is the leading skills accreditation organisation in the UK. CSCS keeps a database of people working in construction who have achieved a recognised construction-related qualification. While the CSCS cards are not a legal requirement in the UK most construction sites and companies will require one for you to work for them. Many construction projects are short-term and workers move from site to site, it’s a really useful scheme for employers to check on how competent a potential employee is.
