PASMA - Mobile Access Towers for Users (E-Learning)

Course Objectives:

The goal of this course is to help participants gain a thorough understanding of current relevant legislation and enable them to safely assemble, use, and dismantle mobile access towers according to the manufacturer's guidelines. Note that the e-learning module must be completed within six months of booking.

It is important to note that finishing the e-learning module alone does not certify you as a tower user. Compliance with industry standards necessitates not only the theoretical knowledge acquired through the e-learning session but also the assessed assembly and usage of the equipment to prove proficiency. After completing the e-learning portion, participants must undergo the practical evaluation and testing at a PASMA-approved CPTS Training centre. The achievement of all three components will lead to the issuance of a PASMA Certification.

To enrol in this course, follow these steps:

2. Finish the theory e-learning module at your convenience and on any device (compatible with PCs, Macs, tablets, and smartphones using any contemporary internet browser).

3. After successfully passing the e-learning, contact us to schedule your practical training and assessment at a PASMA-approved centre. You will need to provide evidence of successful completion of the e-learning certificate, which can be created/printed at the end of your e-learning.

4. Visit a PASMA-approved CPTS Training centre within 90 days after finishing the e-learning module to undertake the theory examination and participate in practical training and evaluation.

5. Bring a copy of your 'certificate of completion' to the course for the trainer to verify; otherwise, you will be denied entry.

6. Upon entry to the course, complete an open book multiple-choice questionnaire based on the e-learning knowledge. This will be followed by a practical training and assessment session, with the duration dependent upon knowledge and experience.

Target Audience:

This course is suitable for individuals who need to safely erect, dismantle, and use mobile access towers. The e-learning module is well-suited for individuals who would rather not take time off from their professional duties or work environment.

Note: A full-day tutor-led PASMA Towers for Users course is also available.

Participants should maintain physical fitness and generally avoid issues like vision or hearing impairments, heart disease, hypertension, epilepsy, acrophobia, vertigo, balance problems, compromised limb function, substance abuse, or mental disorders.

Certification:

Upon successfully finishing the e-learning theory module, attendees will receive a certificate that acknowledges their completion of the course. They must then reach out to CPTS Training to schedule the theory exam and practical training and assessment at one of our training centres within 90 days of completing the e-learning module [temporarily extended due to Covid-19]. The subsequent event is a half-day in-person session featuring practical training and evaluation.
