Enquire nowLet’s keep it simple. The Health and Safety Awareness Course – LEVEL 1 is made for anyone new to construction – or anyone who never really had the safety part explained properly. It’s a one-day session that shows you what you need to know to keep yourself (and others) safe on site.
It’s not about sitting through slides. This is real advice, backed by people who’ve been there. If you’re applying for the CSCS Green Labourer card, this course is your first step.
This isn’t just for apprentices. It’s for:
You don’t need experience. Just turn up and be ready to learn.
We focus on what’s actually useful:
By the end, you’ll feel more confident stepping onto site – not because you memorised the rules, but because they make sense now.
Some people want to sit in a room with others. Some prefer to log in from home. We get that. Here’s how we deliver this course:
Classroom – Local venues with a qualified trainer. Group discussions, questions welcome.
Live online – Done through Zoom or Teams. Same course, different room.
On-site – We come to you. Perfect for companies training a group.
Self-paced online – Go at your own speed. No pressure, just progress.
We don’t do box-ticking. We explain the stuff others skim over. Our trainers come from site backgrounds – not lecture halls. That means we speak plainly, keep things focused, and answer the real questions people are afraid to ask.
No jargon. No time-wasting. Just useful knowledge that sticks. During the Level 1 Health and Safety Awareness course, you’ll build the knowledge needed to recognise hazards and keep yourself safe on site. But awareness alone is only part of the picture – knowing how to act in an emergency is just as important. That’s why many learners choose to follow up with our 1st Aid training, giving them the confidence to respond quickly and effectively should the unexpected happen.
We run this course regularly across the UK and online. Whether you’re booking just for yourself or a group, we’ll find a date that works.
Got a question? Don’t hang about – call or message us. We’ll make sure you’re on the right course.
Yeah, you do. If you’re going for the Green Labourer card, this course is part of the process – along with the CITB test. No way around it.
Mostly, yes. But it’s not only for newbies. A lot of people do it if they’ve been off site for a while or never did any proper safety training. It’s basic – but solid.
It goes through stuff that matters day to day. Things like spotting hazards, what you’re legally meant to do, reporting near-misses, using PPE properly – the basics, but explained clearly.
One day. Roughly six hours, give or take depending on the group and how many questions come up.
Yep – a CITB one. Valid for five years. You’ll get the digital version straight after the course. Paper copy’s optional.
Definitely. We run it live online with real trainers, or you can do it at your own pace through our e-learning version. Same course either way.
Not really. If you’re doing it in person, just show up. If it’s online, a working laptop and a quiet spot will do. We’ll send all the rest.
Yeah, 100%. It’s part of their Site Safety Plus programme. The CSCS card folk accept it, so you’re covered.
Of course. If you’ve got a few people needing training, we can sort a private session – either online or on-site. Makes it easier for everyone.
For entry-level jobs, yes. You’ll still need to pass the CITB test and get your CSCS card, but with this certificate, you’ve done the training side of things.
Five years from the date you pass. After that, you’ll need to do it again or take a refresher – we’ll usually remind you anyway.
Just call us. Or message if that’s easier. No bots, no forms – just someone who’ll tell you straight.
