The Construction Industry Training Board is the industry training board for the UK construction industry, it is the main body established for training and managing certifications for the construction industry. The CITB examination is more health and safety orientated and many construction sites and companies, as well as the government, expect you to have a completed CITB certificate to show you are safe and competent in the workplace. The CITB is funded by and works with industry to encourage training, which helps to build a safe, professional and qualified workforce.
