You do not need the NPORS N100 category simply to operate an excavator. However, if you are required to use an excavator as a crane for lifting operations, formal training and assessment are strongly recommended. An NPORS N100 card helps demonstrate that you have been trained and assessed in safe excavator lifting operations.
Is there a test at the end of the NPORS N100 course?
Yes. The NPORS N100 Excavator as a Crane Course includes an assessment at the end of the training. You will need to pass the required theory and practical elements to receive your NPORS card. If you are not successful, we can provide feedback and help you prepare for a retake.
