Enquire nowMoving timber is high-risk work. Done well, it’s smooth and safe. Done badly, it stops the yard. Our NPORS N106 Log Handler Course teaches you to control log handlers with confidence, protect people on the ground and keep production moving.
We focus on the real job: handling, stacking and loading timber in live environments such as sawmills, forestry sites and ports.
Key skills you’ll build:
You’ll learn how LOLER and PUWER apply in daily work – not just what the rules say, but how to apply them on the pad.
New starters in forestry and timber yards. Experienced operators who need an NPORS card. Sawmill, port and biomass staff who move, stack and load logs with grapples or clamps.
Short, clear theory sessions. Then hands-on practice with real machines and realistic loads. We keep groups small, so you get coaching, feedback and time on the controls.
Complete the course and you’ll earn an NPORS N106 Log Handler Operator Card valid for five years. It’s recognised across the UK forestry and timber sector.
Bring photo ID and a good understanding of English. No previous tickets are required. We run novice and experienced/refresher options.
We deliver UK-wide, on your site or at our Wellingborough training centre. We also serve Northampton, Kettering, Corby, Bedford, Milton Keynes, Luton, Peterborough, Leicester, Coventry, Cambridge, Rugby, Banbury and Aylesbury.
Practical instructors with real forestry and yard experience. Flexible dates, UK-wide delivery, a zero-cancellation guarantee and a price-match promise – if you find a cheaper like-for-like quote, we’ll match it.
