N726 Quick Hitch Awareness Course

NPORS N726 Quick Hitch Awareness Course

Get confident with quick hitch systems and raise safety on site. Our NPORS-accredited N726 training blends clear theory with hands-on practice. As a result, your team works faster and with fewer risks.

What this course covers

You learn how quick hitches work in real jobs. We cover manual, semi-automatic and automatic devices. Next, we focus on safe connection and release of buckets and other tools. You practise pre-use checks, change-over area controls and secure attachment tests. You also learn PPE, site hazards and end-of-shift shutdown. Finally, we link tasks to legal and manufacturer requirements.

Who it’s for

This course suits excavator and plant operators who connect or work with quick hitches. It also helps supervisors who control lifting and attachment change-overs. New and experienced staff benefit, because we tailor delivery to background and duties.

How training works

We deliver concise, practical sessions with live demonstrations. Then you complete a short theory and a practical assessment. Duration varies with experience and the chosen card route. We schedule quickly to match your project dates.

Certification & NPORS cards

On successful completion you receive an NPORS certificate and an NPORS operator card entry. We support all routes:

  • Traditional NPORS registration – typically 3 or 5 years, used where a CSCS logo is not required.
  • NPORS/CSCS Red (Trained Operator)2 years while you complete your (S)NVQ.
  • NPORS/CSCS Blue (Competent Operator)5 years after the relevant (S)NVQ.
For CSCS routes, a valid CITB HS&E test is required. We guide you through the steps.

Entry requirements

You must bring suitable PPE and photo ID. Good spoken and written English helps with theory questions. We can advise on any pre-course checks and site access rules.

Delivery & locations

We train UK-wide, on your site or at our Wellingborough centre. Training on your machines speeds familiarisation and improves real-world safety. However, you can also use our equipment at the centre. We fit start dates around shifts and shutdowns.

Why choose Construction & Plant Training Services

We keep things simple, safe and fast. Our instructors bring deep field experience. We run on-site and centre-based options with flexible hours. Moreover, we offer a price-match guarantee: find a cheaper like-for-like quote and we match it. Finally, our zero-cancellation mindset helps you keep the programme on track.

What you gain

You leave ready to carry out quick hitch tasks with confidence. Productivity improves because change-overs take less time. More importantly, the risk of dropped loads and line-of-fire incidents falls. Your NPORS credentials also strengthen your CV and site access options.
